Jeffrey T. Long named Managing Director, Head of Equities at Commonfund
Commonfund Taps Former Citigroup and J. P. Morgan Managing Director to Oversee Equity Funds for Higher Education and Other Nonprofit Institutions
WILTON, CT, March 16, 2004 — Commonfund, one of the nation’s leading managers of investment funds for nonprofit institutions, today announced it has appointed Jeffrey T. Long as Managing Director, Head of Equities. He will oversee all aspects of Commonfund’s marketable equity investment programs, including investment strategy, portfolio management, due diligence and manager selection. Mr. Long comes to Commonfund from Citigroup Asset Management in Stamford, CT, where he served as Managing Director.

Prior to joining Commonfund, Mr. Long was Managing Director, Associate Director of Equity Research for Citigroup Asset Management since 2002. He managed equity research analysts covering more than 600 companies globally through quantitative systematic, traditional growth and value, and research analyst driven strategies. He also was Managing Director, Senior Equity Analyst at Citigroup. Previously, Mr. Long was Vice President, Senior Equity Analyst for J. P. Morgan Securities, Inc. in New York. He was recognized in The Wall Street Journal survey as one of the top five airline analysts in 1996 and 1997.
Earlier, Mr. Long was Vice President, Head of Financial Advisory for J. P. Morgan Australia, Ltd. in Melbourne, Australia and also held positions with Morgan Guaranty Trust Company in Seoul, Korea and New York. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, holds a Bachelor of Science, Applied Mathematics and Economics from Brown University and is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research.
